Jenny McB's Blog Limerick Contest

Through her Thursday Thirteen post on limericks, I discovered Jenny McB's blog limerick contest. The idea is to write a limerick describing one's blog. I'm not much of a poet, but here goes:

There once was a mom near San Fran
To teach her kids she did plan
Her home was the school
Love God was the rule
To train up a fine lady and man

Witty? Nope, but it does get at the heart of what we're trying to accomplish in our homeschool!

That's a good limerick. I've never tried to do that, although I did make up some haikus trying to make a funny blog post one day.

I love it! I'm still trying to come up with mine, so I'm jealous that you worked so quickly! ;-)

Great! This contest is teaching me a lot about linking, lol, not my strong point. Thank you for participating.
I liked how you abbreviated, that would have made it much harder to have San Francisco.

That is awesome! I was going to try my hand at the whole limericks thing, but I'm just not that creative!!

Thanks for coming by... I'm sure I'll be again for another visit!

I really liked that. Hmmm, maybe it should be framed in your home!

I loved the story of your grandparents on my blog.

I love this! It's describes exactly what you do!! Personally, I think it's very witty :)

I can see I have some stiff competition here!!!

Love the limerick. Has me wondering if I could come up with 13 some Thursday. Hmm a challenge might do me good.
