Dr. Brian Ray of the National Home Education Research Institute is requesting that homeschool families who have their children take standardized tests such as the California Achievement Test participate in a new NHERI study. The last major study of how homeschooled children perform on standardized tests was completed back in 1998. Homeschoolers who test through one of the following organizations are eligible to participate: Seton, Bob Jones, Family Learning Organization, and Piedmont Education Services.
All individual responses will be kept confidential to protect the privacy of participants.

Testing, testing, I don't need no stinkin testing;).
I'm with you, NerdMom, but my DH is still in a very "schoolish" mindset and is insisting our DD take the CAT once she's finished with her current math book- ugh!
Hmmmm- we have to take a standardized test every year, and I order CATs from Seton. Maybe this is something I can do 'for the cause'. :D
